We will come to your property to assess site conditions, collect information about sewage volume and dig test pits to gather information about the soil.

Danco Contracting Ltd. will send soil samples to the lab and wait for the results.

Once the soil sample results come back, we will get to work designing a system that fits the needs of your home and site.

FAQs

How long does a wastewater system last?

A conventional septic system should last anywhere from 20-25 years, or even longer if it is properly installed and maintained.

How often should I pump my septic tank?

Septic tanks are sized for a 3-year targeted pump-out interval.

How can I extend the life of my wastewater system?

Remember to treat your wastewater system right! Don't put garbage, chemicals or grease down your drains.

What causes a system to fail?

If solids or scum are allowed to accumulate too long in a septic tank or treatment system they overflow into the dispersal field which causes a system “to fail”.

Who is qualified to design and build wastewater systems?

In Alberta, wastewater practitioners authorized to construct septic systems are certified by the Alberta Onsite Wastewater Management Association and have a PSDS ticket issued by the Province of Alberta.
